As Anne Lamott wrote in Bird by Bird, "You own everything that happened to you. Tell your stories. If people wanted you to write warmly about them, they should have behaved better."
Love this. Someone gave me a Lamott book “wintering” to get me through my cancer journey. Yes. I also think it’s important not to take a person’s view of you critically as it is their perception and viewpoint based on their personal experiences. This goes both ways in how we respond to others. We can repair these “transgressions” in honest dialogue.
Sorry to hear about Brazil. The US has set a bad example. The ripple effect of life.

Thanks for the wise contribution. Honesty can solve a lot of challenges, especially when delivered with kindness.
As for Brazil, I hope its fragile, young democracy survives the attacks.
Very well said. The quote from Anne Lamott is exactly what I needed to hear today. Thank you.
So glad to hear that, Neil. We all need a little Anne Lamott in our lives :)
